This bronze tube was made from a tube which once housed some applesauce. That’s a lot of tube for a few squeezes of applesauce! But with this tube, as the neighbor kid pointed out, if you cut it in half, it would be all bronze. And yes the photo of the squeeze tube pictured with the Road Runner lunch box is definitely and anachronism. Squeeze tube technology hadn’t made it to the lunchboxes of the 70s or 80s…
